Pilot Health Clinic – Pilot Health Clinic is located at Matjotjo Village in the Berea District of Lesotho, approximately 45-minutes’ drive from Maseru. Pilot Clinic typically serves 50-80 patients each day and has a permanent live-in staff of 2-3 nurses (although it is closed through late 2013 for renovations of the clinic buildings). The STG system at Pilot Clinic is sized to provide 18-24kW-hr of electricity, along with 200-300 gallons of hot water, per day. These resources will allow nurses to extend clinic working hours and improve services to patients, as well as improve the quality of life for live-in staff – thus hopefully improving staff retention.
